DIY Scrapbooking Embellishments

I am so happy I got to scrapbook in bed lol
yeap! I made this last night sitting on my bed.

I saw a tutorial on how to make your own scrapbook embellishment
and I was set! I am in!

The beauty about this is that you only use
a scrap of fabric
paper towells
needle and thread
o.k and scissors
that's it!
Plus is small enough that you can take and make it anywhere

All you have to do is sandwich 3 paper towells in between 2 pieces of scrap fabric
and saw them together, if you want that fray look on the edges
just scrap the edges with your nails or with the edge of the scissors,
and that's it!
Easy Peasy :)

Here is the link to the tutorial I found.

I hope you like it.

Please come back and share with me if you made or have made one,
I would love to see it :)

but is completly done now :)

when you open it
it spreads to the side

and again to the side some more :)

then I close it up and this is the back

You can make this following this link (not my tutorial)
just sharing what I've found :)

I hope you like it :)

The Beginning

There is no denial, this is what brings me peace and happiness: art, crafts, and specially scrapbooking.  I love them all.  I thank God for my Mother who is so crafty and taught me all the things I know, for the schools I've been in Ecuador, they taught me different kinds of crafts, sewing, even cooking, I remember, but cooking is not my strenght at all, believe.

Anyways, I've been contemplating at the idea of opening this blog for quite a while now. I thought maybe I don't have enough to contribute to the digital society out there, plus I haven't been a very active blogger on my other blog www.storytime-storytime.blogspot .com, obviously because of life circumstances change all of the sudden sometimes, but with art in general, for me is always there.  Doesn't matter if is just getting ideas on the net for my next project of just looking for some eye candy, make me feel better today kind of thing.

I decided to finally start posting in this blog, maybe to help other people who needs that push like I did, or maybe just for myself to keep my thoughts together, something like a digital art journal. Either case, if you are here visiting, I hope you find it helpful in some way.  And thank you for stopping by :)
