#WOYWW 343 Inspire

I've been craving to have a little time for creativity
and I finally gave myself the time
early in the morning since I don't have to work this week
before my daughter woke up :)

With Christmas here my table was a complete mess
so I took about an hour to clean it up
but I got it done :)
it looks pretty clear to me
except for the things that my husband has under the table lol

and this is the page I worked on
pretty simple really
I used watercolors for the top
acrylics on the bottom
the word is a print from a wooden word with paint on it
the green part is a foam tray stamp
that I made myself
and the white flower is a mask made with
spray paint

it felt really good to do art again.

Keep on inspiring :)

Collage Your Emotions

Today I felt like making a collage
I read a newsletter from Shelley Klammer
where she invites to preview the prompt from

and the Self-Reflection question is:
What pain do you need to release today?
What can you do to let it go?

and my answer to that is
meditation

this is my collage

the pillows represent the meditation
soon somehow I'll have one of these
to meditate on :)

I found this pretty reindeer
that shows the present moment
is around Christmas time

these lamps represent the light and ideas
I'll get while meditating

and this is just me saying Believe

We all need to Believe in something :)

Practice Being a Kid Again :)

After a long day of Christmas shopping
I came home to eat and relax.
I grabbed my journal without knowing what to do
and I asked my daughter who was next to me
watching TV with daddy,
what should I draw?
and her answer was: a mistletoe.

Of course she had to say that,
she loves plants and Christmas is only a few days away;
isn't it funny how when you are a kid
all the things that you like come together so easily
without even knowing it?

I guess we need to practice being a kid more often :)

So I went on to draw a mistletoe
and the rest just came to me little by little
I know is not much of an art journal page
but practice makes you better :)

Thanks for stopping by
and saying hi :)

Fun and Easy Christmas Craft for Kids and Toddlers

A little cutie to share here
This is what we made in our classroom (I'm a preschool teacher)
at the beginning of this week.

Pretty easy and self explanatory :)
the kids finger painted the poster board paper
then I added some big eyes that I found at the craft store
the red nose is just construction paper
and the antlers are all my kids hand prints on construction paper.

Fun and simple
and the kids did most of the work lol

#WOYWW 339

Oh my! Time flies specially now with the holidays here.
I finally started to make something for my daughter

I am not going to tell you what it is until I finish it.
That way I can push myself to work on it
as much as I can and hopefully finish it
before Christmas.

And this is how my workdesk looks like

While I listen to a podcast, interview or video
I am working on it :)

What do you think it is???

Take care,

I wish it snows in Florida :(

Faith Art Journaling, Proverbs 3:5

This is the page I showed in #WOYWW 331
much better picture now.

You can see here that I used the LEAVES and flowers cut outs I made
on the bottom left of the page
after I spread some paint around on the paper,
those white circles you see on the corners
are from cleaning the corks I was painting with
once with white paint.

and this picture shows you the finished
art journal page.

I guess what I am doing here is faith art journaling
since that's what I feel attracted to do :)

is says:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding
Proverbs 3:5

This Bible verse helps me a lot :)
in different situations of life.

I hope you find this helpful,

Love,

Clemencia

WOYWW 331 Addicting :)

I remember when I started participating in WOYWW
I was told that it was addicting
well... they were right lol

For a while there I stopped posting, making art
and just in the search of myself
(if you know what I mean)
but the more time went by,
the more I missed making things with my hands

Eventually we all go back to doing what we like :)

I know is hard to see in this picture;
I started using the cut outs I made a few weeks ago
I'll post a better picture of it soon :)

Love,

Love and Prayer Art Journal Page

I can not believe myself lol
I finished it before the week is over :)
Doesn't it look pretty?
sorry for the modesty but I really like this page :)
I used a different Bible Verse as you can see,
this is what really resonated with me this week :)

Thank you for the encouragement and tutorial

I love it!

See you all soon :)

#WOYWW 330

Slowly but surely I am coming back to art.

I am doing a mix of things that hopefully will help me
find that I don't know what I am looking for lol

I am reading The Artist's Way book by Julia Cameron
and I am trying to stick with the 12 week program.
But at the same time I saw that Erin and Melissa
are doing Faith Art Fridays
which is what I am working on right now on the bigger notebook
and the smallest ones like always are there to pick up
the leftover paint from my brush :)

I can't wait for finish my Faith Art Friday
to come back and show it off :)

Thanks for stopping by :)

#WOYWW 328

It's amazing to see how, when you find ways to relax, a simple notebook and a pencil helps.
Well, in this case since I had a little extra time I used markers and colored pencils and
drew whatever came to my mind on top of my gratitude journal.
I was just as simple as that.

And as you can see here on the second picture
I cut them out to use in my art journal :)

Any ideas how can I use them?
I would love to know what comes to your mind when you see these.

Take care,

Clemencia

#WOYWW 325 Knitting Fingerless Gloves Lolita Style

Wow! I can't believe I am back to making things again. this time I am working on some fingerless gloves for my daughter who loves lolita fashion style (my daughter is the one with the headband) and cosplay that she sews herself. I haven't tried sewing since I used to help my mother when I was a teenager, who knows maybe someday in the future I get brave enough to make some things :)

For now I am sticking to what I like.
As you can see I am knitting by my computer where I listen to a book of webinar, etc while I am working on my project :) very fun lol

My goal is to make this cute gloves

which is a special request from my daughter for her birthday.
I have no pattern, so is a challenge for me.

Thanks for visiting me :)

Be Yourself

via Instagram http://ift.tt/1IEpEl0 Be Yourself

A Retreat? Yes, It Is Possible...

I want to start by letting you know that I got curious about retreats a while back, but every time I went to find out about the price, it was something I couldn't possibly do. I know everybody tells you, you deserve, you need, you owe it to yourself, but reality is I have a family and have to think about them too.

When I read Jennie's Creative Retreat Workbook, let me tell you... a big aha! came to me. Finally somebody showing me that there is a possible way to have a retreat. A retreat just as peaceful, just as intentional, practical, creative and amazing as you can imagine.

I just LOVE Jennie's workbook, it has changed my life and open my eyes to the different types of retreats one can have. So many practical activities and ideas that helped me discover my retreat style, my goals and a schedule that works for me.

I am so happy to have this workbook in my hands :) It is a true blessing for me :)
