How Do You?

It's amazing to see how once you learn to be organized
and you get out of that routine
it affects your whole day and sometimes your whole week.

That was the case for me this week
I was so sick last weekend
that I didn't plan my weekly dinner menu
I couldn't go shopping for food
so I ended up going to the supermarket
three times this week which I don't like
since I prefer to go to the produce market better.

I felt so weak that I only had energy to go to work (wrong choice by the way lol)
and cook dinner, anyways, what I was trying to get to is that
the whole week I had felt a sadness that I couldn't explain
then I remember that meditation brings me peace, relaxation and clarity
after doing that for just two days,
it came to me, it just hit me!:
I need to go organize my art table so I can do art
I mean, look at this mess....

it is embarrassing :/

Well... I finally empty most of the table,
and I am ready to do some more art.
I think part of that sadness I felt the whole week
was that I didn't do art at all, I didn't touch a crochet,
I didn't do any of my creative passions.

Has that ever happened to you?
Not being able to do what you love for a while?
How do you get over it?
How do you go back to it?

Thank you for taking the time to read my post
and share your answer with me :)

Stay Healthy :)

  2. I was sick 2 weeks ago and I went to work and came home and parked on my sofa. That was all the energy I had. I should not have gone to work but a project was at its deadline so I had to go. I had to give myself permission to just get better first. As soon as I felt better, I found a home for everything on my table. It is so hard to start something when you have been away for a while. I just start doing something even if it is cutting up magazines, drawing squiggles, or finger painting. Just do something. The creative urges come flowing back after you get your hands dirty. :-)

  3. Hey Clemencia, hope you're feeling better by the time you read this - I think many of us will relate to the kind of day/week/life you are describing. It's so hard to find a balance between the things you love to do and the things you have to do and if being creative is a part of who you are, everything feels "wrong" when you can't make time or energy in your day to be creative and it is easy to let it spiral - I've started to take a bit of crochet, or Zentangle or something else portable, to work with me, so I can have a little bright spot in my lunch time :o) Happy very late WOYWW day.
