Just playing around
practicing my handwriting
together with watercolor pencils

  1. Never under estimate the value of practised handwriting. It is a very useful tool. You never know when you might need it in art and it is excellent for practising artistic control. Try doing it with your non-dominant hand and you can breakdown how you make each stroke (and find a freedom in creating art without the pressure of accuracy and just enjoying the movement).

And yes, there is good in everything. Thanks for sharing and happy PPF!

    Best wishes,
    Liz

  7. Great message! This morning I thought about how handwriting (block form and cursive) is like drawing. Must be in the air.

  11. I hope the schools will not phase out cursive writing, because it really is an art form!

  12. I think I need to practice my handwriting. It's getting harder to read every year!
I hope the schools keep teaching it. Cursive writing has its charms.

She is a perfect illustration of the power of practice!

I like the idea of the black against the watercolors! Very striking!

Thanks for sharing it for week 16.
