I Am...

If you are like me and go around the web
looking of inspiration
and what you can learn from other artist
more than likely you'll recognize this kind or art.

Yes, this what I came up with

after taking the class
Basic Line Drawing
from Lisa Congdon

I just love her art,
my hands were itching to give it a try :)

What do you think?

Backgrounds With Spray Paints

This is what one of my backgrounds looks like.

I've known always,
and is much clearer now that I've been doing
a few challenges and journal pages,
that I get bored doing the same thing.
Which brings me to realize that
I need to try new things, especially in art,
to keep focusing on what I love to do.

Here I am trying a new technique
I really don't know if somebody out there
have done it before,
but I am sure somebody has.

I used spray paints on a glass surface
(a plain piece of glass
that my husband was going to throw away)

then I put a blank paper on it
and rubbed it gently with my hands
and when I took it out
this is what I got.

Isn't pretty :) ?

Then I sprayed the glass again
(without cleaning it)
and put my journal notebook on it
upside down

and got this :)

I am so happy with the results
I love playing with my paints
without getting bored of doing the same.

Do you have any other techniques that you would like to share with me?
I would love to try them all :P

Happy Playing :)

#WOYWW 364

Hmmm... let's see what I have here.

A composition notebook where I take notes
and when I don't need it anymore
I used it for my art journaling.

An old planner that I couldn't break apart from
since I liked it so much and is hard cover (bonus for me lol)

My carousel is getting fuller
with the things I use more often
lately that has been brushes, scissors, glue, pens and markers.

And of course that big brown paper
that I took from our recycle :P
that I HAVE to do something with it.
I can't just let it go... :)

Thanks for visiting,
on my way to visit other bloggers :)

Take care,

Clemencia

A New Way to Make My Grocery List :)

It has been a while since I felt like drawing.
I made these tiny groceries while waiting
for my daughter at the pool.

All I had with me was a blank pad of paper
and very few colored pens and markers
that's why my coloring is limited
and off in some of them.

I think you can pretty much see
what are they :)
except for the orange (under the bananas)
which is the only one I'm not too satisfied with.

Here are some close up pictures
just in case you want to see details :)

I think I found a fun way to make
my grocery list :)

ha ha ha those bananas are funny :)

I couldn't help myself putting faces on them :)

O.k. those apples need some work too lol

thank you so much for visiting me
I really had a lot of fun drawing them
and sharing them with you.

Eat healthy :)

Yes!

What am I saying yes to
in my life this year...

focus and dedication

I am saying yes to
art
sketches
patterns
watercolors

and if you look really carefully
the word me is there too :)
Yes, I am saying yes to me.
to having time for myself
to take care of myself
to do the things I like :)

I couldn't see myself throwing away a
"messed up splatter page" :)

Less Is More #artjournal

Less is more...
it can be interpret many ways.

For this art journal page
I used foam trays
(I get them at the market with my vegetables)

cut them and make patterns
with anything that has a point
a pen, the other side of a small paintbrush
just anything you have around :)

and the message you see below is
Often doing less gets you more

when I saw this
I immediately thought about
meditation
which is one of my goals this year

So what Less is More means to you?...

Take care,

Clemencia

Time to...

My goal for this year is to focus on doing what I like,
taking action in my priority
and this journal page explains some of the things
I am trying to get done.

It's time to...

inspire others and be inspired

relax and have some tea
(make it green tea since is so beneficial for you
it actually kills cancer cells)

time to write,
I love writing
specially a gratitude journal

time to eat healthy

time to love
time to get serious about what we want
time to pray
time to teach people what you know
time to...

What will you use your time for?

I am participating in

Monochromatic Pattern

I made a monochromatic background
inspired by the word Monochrome that
A is for Anika posted on her Instagram
for a pattern challenge she is hosting this month

I Had No Idea What I Was Making :)

Ever since I saw this post
at A Colorful Journey
I haven't stop thinking
about what to do.
I mean I am the Queen of frugal
and reusing stuff when it comes to
art and scrapbooking.

Now the idea here wasn't to scrapbook
it just started with knowing that I needed a background.
And to tell you the truth I made this
while my preschool classroom was doing art
I sat with my kids to do art together
(and they love it!)

Anyways, I used the watercolors dot markers
also called bingo markers
and started with the lighter color
marking circles all over the page.

Then I came home and went to my recycle bin
and found this red envelope from a Christmas card.

I cut the corners, but since the envelope was written on the front
all over the place, I only used two of the corners.
Then I used an edge puncher to decorate the plain edge,
and place it on my background.
It looked a little plain so I went ahead and started
decorating the circles with a fine black permanent marker
making swirls, stitches, zig zags and little x's
in a few of them.

So far I had no idea what I was making,
then... the idea just came to me:
"this could be a background for a picture"
I've been wanting to go back to scrapbooking so much
that I really, really! don't want to put it off anymore.

So I looked in my stuck of pictures and place one right in the middle.

Thank you so much for visiting me:)
And thank you Carolyn for the challenge
and encouragement to use what we already have :)

Now I don't want to stop
making art and scrapbooking :)

Love,

A Collage Challenge

I know this collage doesn't look like much
but finding pictures that match
my inner desire was a little harder than what I thought

Jennibellie has a monthly challenge
and January's theme is
where she has a video of her making a collage
where I got the idea to make mine

I love the idea of the theme
since I've been very curious about
mood boards, vision boards, etc.
Is like an encouragement to stay creative
even when you are super tired
you can just sit down and browse through magazines
looking for pictures you can collage in the future.

There is something about
making a collage that attracts me,
I simply love playing with paper and glue.

Hopefully I can get a lot better at it :)

My Word of the Year

Last year I chose a word of the year for the first time
and let me tell you... it was a complete failure,
so I wasn't going to choose a word this year
until I was trying to figure out how to organize my day
so I can have time to do the things I like,
but I kept on thinking that I need to focus on my priorities.

And that word just got stuck on me,
focus
focus
focus

I figure might as well
play along with other bloggers :)

Do you have a word for this year?

Starting The Year Right

Wanting to start the year right, I am trying to focus on what I really want to achieve this year and of course, for me, that is happiness and good health.

Happiness for me involves a lot of things like the name of my blog says: a life full of passions
I like a lot of things, I don't have a niche or at least not yet and I really don't know if I ever will.
But I have become okay with that idea, unlike last year I was breaking my head over what do I really like to do, trying to choose one thing of all the things I love and I can't, I just simply can't.

I love to do a lot of things and I am going to embrace that. That said, I am going to focus on what I like at the moment, focus on what brings me happiness and good health.

Now good health is a big one for me since last year since I had a lot of severe health problems, doctors thought I had MS but thank God, really "Thank You God" after tons of testings I was finally diagnose with a severe case of IBS and knowing how I am, I don't give up. I don't like to feel sorry about myself. I like to read, study and learn how to push forward and better a situation.

So here I am embracing who I am, focusing on what I like and growing to better myself.

What about you?
