Yes! this is a little crazy.
A little bit of everything.
Like always I've been analyzing my life
and as I am trying to do the things I like and follow my heart
there is something about playing with paint and paper that I can't let go.
I LOVE to see everybody's art journals
but I know that art journaling is not exactly what I want to do.
What is it then?
Hmmm... I exactly don't know yet.
I am letting my heart guide me,
so far I know that I love to make backgrounds
and that's what I am planning to do with the art journal
that's on the bottom right corner and that's why it says
a work in project.
I am going to let the paint dry and hopefully play with it later
and see what I come up with.
What do you think?
Thanks for caring and sharing your opinion with me :)
What a brilliant idea!

If it's just backgrounds you want to do - there's nothing wrong with that, Clemencia! Go for it, whatever makes you happy! There's some promising start to your pages already.I like your hexagon shaped organizer! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa @ InkyDinkyDoodle #34
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, I am so glad that you found my idea useful, I am here reading your comment over and over again, thrilled that I have inspired you to start a Backgrounds Journal. Can't wait to see what we come up with :P keep in touch :)
ReplyDeleteI did a lot of backgrounds last year and I have a few journals full of them. I also have index cards done with b/grounds. I will do something else with them one day and for now that is ok.
ReplyDeleteI think you'll figure out what you want to do with it all eventually perhaps an inspiration book :)

I think if you play around enough, ideas will emerge on what you can use them for. Or perhaps the simple art of playing with paint is enough in itself?? Just remember to have FUN! :D Have a wonderful week & God bless!

Thank you so much ladies for reading my blog :) it means a world to me, thank you for your awesome feedback, for sure your input is really helpful. And thank you for sending Blessings this way, I take them every time I can ;) thanks a million, hugs :)
ReplyDeletePS: I do not "fussy cut" as a general rule because I really stink at it, lol! I always tend to buy stamp sets that have matching dies to cut them out, including the snowmen set you saw on my desk. Lately I've been stamping a sheet or two of images, color them, and then die cut them all out at the same time so I can "set the scene" for my cards. While I do sometimes make other things, I'm primarily a card maker.
ReplyDeleteI often have pages and pages of backgrounds on the go. Some where I have cleaned my brushes on the page - some where I have cleaned stencils. Sometimes I like the backgrounds so much I just leave them as they are - sometimes I add quotes on the top - sometimes I'll incorporate them into paintings or drawings... keep on making them, they will make their use known to you ;)

Carmen, thank you so much for your advice and encouragement, I do the same about cleaning my brushes and leave them as they are because I like them :) I've been thinking though on doing what you say: add quotes to them, I just have to find the right pen for that. If you don't mind me asking... which pen do you use? thanks :)
DeleteArt journals are THE place to experiment, which I personally like very much. You don't even have to show them if you don't like. For me it is my playground.

Amen! :)
DeleteI think true art should not be rushed. Give the pieces time to tell you what you need. You are doing just fine. Breathe and everything else will fall into place. I love that you have multiple things going. Creative Blessings! Kelly #83
