Well, here is my desk all neat and clean

I'm so proud of it lol

I've been organizing my space with the idea of teaching

all those things that I have learned in the past few years

especially about art journaling and mixed media.

I have come to realize that my shyness have been so strong

that it hasn't let me come out and show others what I love and enjoy doing:

teaching and art :)

So here I am taking my first step of accountability

by sharing with all of you what I want to do,

Sharing Little Nuggets of Knowledge (Art Related). New to Art Journaling?

Today I am doing something different here on my blog
I am going to start sharing
art related
little nuggets of knowledge
you will benefit from them especially if you are new at art journaling or mixed media.

I thought it would be fun to share little things here and there
I know along the way I'll find something new for me too
and we'll learn together :)

We are going to start with art journaling.

What is art journaling?
Art Journaling to me is self expression,

is making art in a notebook or a sketchbook,
is a combination (if you desire so) of art and words.

An art journal can be as private or as public as you wish.
Is a place where you express your feelings or

simply practice your art,
here you can experiment with art techniques,

or you can put your ideas down on paper in any desire way,
you can write or draw about your life,

you don't have to have any special skills,
you don't have to know how to draw or paint

Simply put an art journal is a notebook where you do art and express yourself.

Mixed Media Flower Girl Collage

Hello there :)

Today I have a collage made with a digital image
provided by Digital Delights
through Craft your passion challenges blog
the image is called Flower Power Basket of Daisies

The background is made with spray paints and a stencil

then I added the grass on the bottom which I cut out from a magazine

I glued the girl which I colored using a waterbrush and watercolors

and then added some flower die cuts using some patterned scrap paper.

Very easy, simple and cute :)

I hope you like it and inspire you to make some art :)

Having these printables makes your work a lot easier

Oh my! what a mess! lol

well here you can see that I've been 

working on my collages

you can come see them on my instagram

So far I have done 23 out of 90

not bad, almost a third done.

I was getting a little bored at the beginning

but now I can actually say that I am liking it lol

I am learning a lot about myself through this process

which I'll leave for a future post :)

New Collage - Art Journal Page with some News :)

Hello everybody,

today I have an art journal page/collage project

for the new Anything Goes challenge as I am part of the

Craft Your Passion Challenge Blog now :)

exciting! exciting! 

This page was made 

using a digital image from Lacy Sunshine

is called Rory Cherry Pickin

I started by sponge painting the background

with a dark yellow, blue and green all over the page

then used some cut outs from a country magazines

and finally my Rory Cherry Picking girl :)

I can't believe it!

it has been a week and my work table is still the same lol

I haven't touch my table at all this week

since I started doing some challenges on Instagram

(I had last week off for spring break)

hopefully I can work on some things this week

even though I have a nasty root canal to get done tomorrow

Yuk!!!

anyways, I'll be visiting some of you after work

another yuk! (work) lol

but thank God we have one right? :)
