Romantic Crochet Necklace

I finally put together this crochet necklace that I finished a couple of months ago, I made the flowers following this tutorial and the necklace part with this tutorial here, both are on my Pinterest.

As you can see I got the idea from one of those free flyers at JoAnn Fabrics.

Crochet Basket with Link to Tutorial

I am so excited to show you this basket that I made, I worked on it little by little for the last 2 weeks, maybe 20 minutes every night.

It started because I wanted to join this crochet challenge but honestly, for me the basket would end up too tall according to the instructions.
So for me this is good enough I like it, I learned how to make the basket weave and I am very happy with the outcome :)
The only thing I wish is to learn how to make it stiffer, but that would be another post lol

Aren't They Cute?!

My daughter (9y. old)

made this over the weekend.

I know a lot of people went crazy about these loom things

and forgot about them already

But not her,

she loves them

she loves being creative

any time of the day :)

The fish and the bow are about an inch in length

and the owl is just a little longer than that

I just love to read! 

Plain and simple :)

Free Yourself...

It's so renovating to free yourself at least for one minute.
No kidding.
Take one minute to relax and free yourself of your surroundings, go to quiet area and sit down and meditate, put your mind in blank... and if you just can't like me, during that one minute of meditation, repeat to your self:
"Free Yourself" and you'll see what a difference it makes...

Black and White

My daughter last night was craving for some time together and she knew I was tired, so she came up with the idea of "sitting down and making art" so cute! so we did :)

I took advantage of it and did some drawings with charcoal pencil for the DLP challenge this week which is Black and White:

As you can see I am not an expert but I relax and had fun.

That's what is all about right?

My Passion...

I really don't know how to start this post... but one thing I have in my mind is... passion...

Some time ago I started looking into how to better my blog and one advice that kept on coming up was to blog about what I am passionate about. 

Then I started asking myself...

What is my passion?

How do I know that when I like a little bit of everything.

I like crochet, knitting, art journaling, scrapbooking, embroidery, and everything else that I can put my hands on and make something new out of. 

Then, I started reading books about how to find my passion.  Listening and watching to tons of youtube videos about finding your passion. But the one thing that came to me always is that I love to read.

For a while there I started using my relaxing time sitting by my computer just to read about things I like. No specific theme at all, just whatever drives me that day, and read about it.

Another advice I read about was to be yourself.  And that's what I am doing here, right now.

I am being myself, writing about what I like, writing about what I read and transfer it to people out there hoping it will help somebody one way or another.

That has been one of my dreams for quite some time now. TO HELP PEOPLE.

How? I really don't know. 

I started my first blog Storytime and More when my daughter was very little. With the idea of helping moms out there connect with their child, the same way I was connecting with my daughters. Teaching their own kids and having fun at the same time. I had a passion for it, no doubt.  But things changed over time, my kids have grown somewhat, one is 9 and the other one is 19 :) so things are a little different, as they become more independent.

Then... I open this blog simply because that's what I like to do. I like to write (not talk, I am quite shy) lol and I like to help people out there. Becase believe it or not, I don't have friends. Only family and coworkers and those who I have met through my blogs and other forums. But even like that I feel that I can still help :)

So there you have it. That's ME. And the answer to my question. My passion? To read, to educate myself and others, and help people as much as I can. I hope this blog will help me do just that. Time will tell me how, I'll just go with the flow for now :)
