What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday?
on going at Stamping Ground
hosted by Julia
Well, seems like a lot is going on here,
the sketchbook/art journal that you see on the side
with the blue heart on it is my daughter's
She loves art and we try to do art together once in a while.
Also on my desk is my art journal
that's the page I am currently working on.
An old fairies book that was given to me,
it was scratched inside, so perfect for mixed media :)
My gelatos that I haven't open yet lol
And my carousel that I finally started putting things there.
I am filling it up as I work on my scrapbooks
making easier for myself to find things for scrapbooking again.
And the rest is just clutter that I have to clean.
I guess a clutter table
means a busy table :)
Let's blog hop and see other's desks :)
Clemencia
Clutter table DOES mean busy table!! lol
ReplyDeleteLove the journal you're creating - never thought to use old books .... I only buy really old ones for the text pages on ATCs.
Have a good week

Hi Clemencia, yep and messy table means a busy crafty person...I find it so hared to cut up books. Cheers and enjoy your week RobynO#25
ReplyDeleteI'm so impressed that you can cut into a book that is something I can never seem to do

What a great busy desk! I love it. Also the fact that your daughter crafts with you sometimes. That is precious quality time together.
ReplyDeleteI haven't used my Gelatos either. (I have exactly the same ones)
Have a good week,

ReplyDeleteI couldn't bring myself to cut up a book but they do look, lovely, how lovely that you do your journal with your daughter too
ReplyDeleteLots going on, you need to open those gelatos! ;)
ReplyDeleteNaturally a busy desk is a happy desk. I'm not very good at cutting into books. I have even bought old books that were damaged with every intention of cutting them up and they still are untouched. But I do think it's better to recycle them before they end up in the bin. Have a great week and happy woyww, Angela x 24
ReplyDeleteCutting into a book is something that I couldn't do for a looooong time, but seeing how people are, some don't appreciate them, some just collect dust in the thrift stores because they don't even want them at home, and some are scribbled on by kids because parents don't even care, and they don't even read to their kids, then if the book is old, ripped that even the thrift store doesn't want to take it as a donation, then why not cut it and use it for art. It's going to be recycled anyways :)
ReplyDeleteA desk full of activity that I love seeing, this is much better than a desk that is tidy and boring. You have gelato's you have not opened, you better get cracking and play some more they are awesome to use. thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW

Great desk and I know you will love your carouse. I spent the first 10 years of my professional life as a librarian. Even turning down the edge of the page gives me pause. Beautiful pages from both you and your daughter.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW, thanks for sharing
