I made this art journal page with the idea to participate in a challenge about kindness
the funny thing is that I can't find where that challenge was :P
O.k. so that would be me... I try to be organize
but when things happen at home like
the vet telling me that my pet, which I had for 12 years, is dying
and then two days later my younger daughter goes down with a fever
(which she still has) things get a little off here at home
and at work too, since I can't go to work with my daughter sick.
Anyways, here is my Be Kind journal page
Here is how I made it:
the background is leftover paint brushed on
then I drew the girl with a pencil
and I actually made a face for her
but since I didn't like it, I covered it with beige paint
then I painted the hair using a small brush
and left it to dry.
Then I moved onto the words
which I made with just plain black paint and
the smallest paint brush I could find on my desk.
The heart and the doodles are stamps.
And then I added glitter on the hair.
Done! :)
I hope this journal page inspires somebody
to try it out. It's super easy. Nothing to it :)
With Love,
Clemencia
It is beautiful and sweet! It sounds like you had quite the week, the fact that you made time for art is impressive.
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely journal page. I am so sorry for the news of your beloved pet- i know full well-and they are our furry children. I hope it is a peaceful end. And poor sick daughter too...hope she is perfectly better real soon! Take care , and happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteClemencia, thank you soooo much for your sweet comment over on my blog! I'm so sorry to hear about your poor dog; years ago, I had two 'fur babies' (I don't have children...just my husband *grin), and I know how precious and special they are in our lives. As for your daughter..oh my! Hope she feels better soon. Sending you huge 'virtual' hugs of support and patience in these trying times. Creating is always 'good therapy' in times of stress - and I'm glad you decided to head that direction, designing an art page that truly conveys the essence of 'being kind.' I'm not sure which challenge you were looking for, but you're welcome to join us at Addicted to Stamps and More, where "Anything Goes" is this week's theme. Here's the link: http://addictedtostamps-challenge.blogspot.ca/2016/02/challenge-181-anything-goes.html See you there!
